Marion joins Mahoney Lyle with communications experience that includes French amateur theater and media relations in the mayor’s office on the Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe.
Before joining Mahoney Lyle in early 2015, Marion demonstrated her media relations skills while working in the mayor’s office on the Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe. As manager of day-to-day communications, she created flyers and posters for the office, wrote press releases and speeches for the mayor, and coordinated coverage requests from journalists. She also was responsible for organizing official ceremonial events.
Prior to that, she served in communications roles for a computer company and a French amateur theater production association. Marion grew up in a small city near Grenoble, France. She began studying classical dance as a child, and as a teenager enrolled in an intensive dance-and-study program at a school dedicated to training professional ballerinas. Fondly recalling those demanding and rewarding years, she explains she ultimately decided she wanted to be “a normal teenager”.
She enrolled in the Catholic University in Lyon where she studied sociology, anthropology, literature and history. After receiving her degree, she enrolled at EFAP Lyon, a branch of the Paris-based International School of Communication EFAP, which is a world leader in training and educating professionals in the various disciplines of communication.
As part of a joint educational program, Marion spent six months at the New York Institute of Technology, where she focused on a range of video- and event-communication skills. Curious and adventurous, she has traveled broadly in Europe, and visited Syria, Togo and New Zealand. Marion is an avid runner and reader.
She also loves sewing, a creative passion she shares with her mother and grandmother. Her closets are full of clothes she has made for herself.
